The 17th International Congress of Endoscopic Surgery was held in cooperation with Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences of Yazd and the Association of Endoscopic Surgeons from October 11-13 with the aim of improving the scientific level of surgeons and familiarizing them with the innovations of this field.

In this congress, which was organized with the presence of more than 250 professors, experts, residents and students from all parts of the country and other countries, the vice president of the Board of Directors of the Association of Endoscopic Surgeons, the governor of the province and the president of the Shahid Sadougi University of Medical Sciences and Hospital, a number of managers have also participated. In this congress, 22 articles out of 70 submitted articles were presented. Presentations were made simultaneously In 3 adjacent halls, in the fields of surgical technology, orthopedics, gynecology, neurosurgery, otolaryngology, and wound management, electro surgery, and hemovisualization workshops, familiarization with robotic equipment and 3D laparoscopy

In addition to presenting articles, various panels of general topics were discussed and challenged by experts. International speakers from South Korea, United Arab Emirates, France, Switzerland, America, and Iraq shared their points of view in the congress. During this scientific meeting, educational surgeries were performed by professors of the country. 20 large well-known active companies in the field of laparoscopy and publishers attended this congress. Visits to historical places and tourist centers were held for the participants and speakers after the meetings.
